I wonder if this idiot's flawed logic applies to female children wearing skirts too! Men like him may think that, "If I can take pictures up adult female's skirts, maybe I can take pictures up female children's skirts too!" Disgusting behavior!

This is a Natural Consequence of "Sexual Harassment is whatever the Woman says it is."

The best way for guys to keep their sanity is to have as little contact with women as is absolutely necessary. This is especially true for trying to deal with Today's Young Women (TYW). As a photographer said in an erstwhile episode of Law & Order "It's like looking into the eyes of a goat. There's nothing there." They're so busy texting people in the same room with them that they can't even carry on a face-to-face conversation.

Life is a GIft. But Living is a Series of Cost/Benefit Analyses. As it pertains to TYW, don't even bother!

MGTOW Forever!

this is like the argument "if she was dressed slutty, she deserved to get raped."….. it reminds me of it anyway.

I think if women don't want people taking degrading pics of them, then they shouldn't wear cloths that exposes themselves…when they wear cloths that are very revealing that tells me they want to expose themselves…

isn't there a law that says you don't have the right to take a picture of someone w/o consent (especially in this case)

Reply
@NEatopMtHyjal 09/04/2024 - 1:45 PM

This is the first time I wholeheartedly disagree with one of the TYT videos I've seen. If you think about it they're talking about outlawing taking pictures from specific angles… Aren't they usually arguing for less ridiculous laws and that they don't want to live in a police state; what's next outlawing eavesdropping? I'm also not a big fan of privacy in general as it's only good for protecting people afraid of reprisal or prejudice (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) and criminals.
Obviously if he is doing something to make it visible, like moving the skirt, that's some kind of harassment.

I'd say the defense attorney is doing her job very well. I doubt she endorses upskirt pics, but she sets that aside and does her best to give the man a fair trial. Wheter or not there should be a law against it has no bearing on this case, if it isn't illegal in the state he is in, he shouldn't be convicted.

The guy did nothing wrong. Its illegal to take a picture of someone in public? No. End of story. You want to legislate at what angle someone is being photographed? Whats next, no portraits of women with partially exposed boobs? Where is Jayar on this story, he needs to regulate your weak asses.

If the women were adults, and if the the man could see up the women's skirts from a proper distant, without invading their personal space, and he took a picture of it, then he's in the "right".  Morally, he's wrong for doing so; women/men should not fear having their private area's photoed by anyone without their consent, but if your exposing them in public, then your private area's then become "public" also.  If you can see it with the naked eye(in public) you have the right to take pictures of it, as long as your not invading the woman's(or man's) personal space.  If he didn't lift the skirts, put himself or his camera under their skirts, then by law he did nothing wrong.
This is a necessary evil we must deal with, because if we make one change then more will follow.
Say we change the laws so that people cannot take pictures of exposed private areas in public, and an innocent man takes a photo of his family in public,and post it on facebook, but in the background a woman in a skirt accidentally exposes her underwear.  This woman can sue that man, have him arrested and this will happen many more times, until we are forced to make more changes, due to this sue happy society we have.
Next, they will ban anyone being photographed in public without their consent, then say a similar situation happens again, but the man went to a more private area to take the photo, but someone passed by without him noticing.  We'll have a ton more suing until we change the laws again.
We will eventually have it where it will just be illegal to have a camera exposed in public, which mean no more photographing and filming police, no more public family photos, etc.
So if you wish to wear a skirt/dress in public and do not wish to have upskirt photos taken of you, be careful.  Bend down instead of bending over, be careful walking up stairs, cross your legs while sitting, etc(if you don't care about having upskirt shots being taken of you, feel free to do what you want).  Their are perverted men and women out their, and as long as they don't cross any legal lines, there isn't much we can do about the actions they take, without changing the actions we take.

As creepy and perverse as this practice is I am actually not convinced it is "natually" illegal. States should be making laws to define it as such but it isn't illegal to photograph people in public and the implication of TYT seems to be that "angle" is the difference between lawful & illegal even if there is not a law on the books spelling it out explicitely.

Or the next case will be, "that skycam shot my cleavage, arrest them." Or perhaps a very likely case will be, "he took a photo of me in my bikini, arrest him."  What are these standards of privacy? Define them so prosecution is simple.

Upskirt absolutely should be illegal, but it needs to be done proper, in writing. We are a nation of laws, NOT "oh, you should just know better."

Everyone in the united states is entitled to a defense attourney. The fact that these pair think his defense attourney shouldn't be defending him, means they are decrying the right to legal defense, at best. They're also encouraging mob rule and trial by opinion.

@TheDontbeEvil 09/04/2024 - 1:45 PM

I'm gonna agree with the defendant. If you don't want people to check out your skirt, then you shouldn't wear a skirt. However, that doesn't mean peeping tom here can go take pictures all he wants. In other words, both are at fault, so just let him go and tell him to stop taking pictures because it is kinda creepy.

Filming Cops In Public… ? Illegal ?
Unfortunately this guy is in the right because it is in public. If we start mandating what we as citizens can or can not record while in public, then that is a very bad road to go down. Public should be public.

Yes that guy of course is a creeper, and should be publicly shunned because of it.

I don't know what kind of upskirt pictures he got, and I don't care to see them, but depending the situation in which these upskirt photos were taken, he could actually be protected by law.  If he didn't have to invade anyone's personal space, touch the women(including clothing) he took the upskirt shots of, stalk the women he took the shots of, and if he could see up the woman skirt from a proper distance, then he is protected.  Don't get me wrong, people should not do these things, but if an adult woman, wearing skirt walked up some stairs, and from a distant view, me or anyone else could see up her skirt, then any of us have the right to take a picture of it.  Morally it's wrong, but our laws aren't always based off morals.

To be fair. you can take pictures of women in bikini. which is just waterproof UNDERWEAR.
Nobody calls that crazy. you dont have to go to court if you snap pictures of them on the beach..

and its not like he forcefully lifts up the skirts either…
.
So i dont see why this is a bigdeal, but bikinis are not ????

Ok, one last thing…some women like their vagina photographed, and look forward to it happening, so just because one woman thought is was inappropriate, lets take time from real issues so we can pass more petty laws so she can feel comfortable sporting her vagina in public….

Reply
@davestevens1600 09/04/2024 - 1:45 PM

Now you want pictures regulated. The cops don't want their picture taken either…so lets just outlaw cameras? I was hopeful that Homo Sapiens might actually live long enough to evolve into Homo Evolutis:however, that seems unlikely if we are always looking to attack each other..I like Kaspar, and support her humanist compassion, but females often have a double standard when it comes to sexual adoration. So if we cant take pictures of it, can we at least look at it once in a while? Throw a dog a little evolutionary bone now and then if you get my meaning. Take your burka and wrap it around your vagina if your that kooky.
